Calls come about in two ways: a time is agreed in the conversation, or the person books through your scheduling link. NurtureLead handles both.
A time agreed in the conversation
When a reply confirms one specific time, sending that reply books the call:
- With Google Calendar connected, the call is added to the calendar.
- Without it, the call is emailed to the owner of the organisation as an invite file, which a calendar program opens.
Booked calls show in the Inbox under Upcoming calls.
The AI confirms a time only when your instructions allow it to accept times and one specific date and time is agreed in writing. Unclear or past meeting times are flagged for you, not booked. When you approve a draft that books a call, a tick box next to it lets you send the reply without booking.
Connect Google Calendar
Only an owner or an admin can connect a calendar. Each LinkedIn account has its own.
- Open Accounts.
- On the account's card, under Google Calendar, press Connect Google Calendar.
- In the window that opens, press Connect Google Calendar.
- Sign in on Google's own page and choose what to allow.
Back on the Accounts page, press Manage on the card to choose the Calendar that calls are added to, then press Save.
Bookings that count towards a goal
With the goal Book a call, a confirmed booking counts the goal as reached, as long as Booking confirmed is switched on under How a goal is counted. Three tools can confirm one. You find them under Booking tools on the AI and goals page, once Book a call is the goal.
- Google Calendar appointment pages. A new booking that appears in the connected calendar with one of the account's people as a guest counts. Nothing more to set up.
- Calendly. Press Connect, paste a Calendly personal access token and press Connect Calendly. The token is used once and not kept. Calendly sends bookings to other tools on its paid plans only.
- Cal.com. Press Connect and copy the Address for Cal.com. In Cal.com, under Settings, Developer, Webhooks, add that address for the "Booking created" trigger. If you set a secret there, paste the same secret into NurtureLead and press Save secret.
How a booking is matched to a person
A booking is matched to a person on the account by the email address they booked with. If no email matches, it is matched by full name, when exactly one person on the account has that name. A booking from someone the account does not know is not counted.
So a booking counts more reliably when the person's email is on the People page.
Your scheduling link
The link the AI shares is the Scheduling link on the AI and goals page. It fills {calendar} in messages and replies, and it must start with https://.
If the calendar stops working
If the card says No longer connected: connect it again, press Manage and connect Google Calendar again. Until then, calls are sent as an invite file by email.
