Reply from the Inbox

Approve or edit the AI's draft, steer a new one, write your own reply, and close or reopen a conversation.

The Inbox holds every conversation on the account in view. Replies on LinkedIn, replies to InMails and replies by email all arrive there, each with a tag that says which.

How the Inbox is laid out

The Inbox has three parts:

  • Conversations, in three groups: Needs you, In progress and Closed.
  • The exchange with the person, with the AI's draft and your own reply box under it.
  • The person's panel: their goal, the conversation's state, their workflow and your upcoming calls.

Approve the AI's draft

  1. Open a conversation under Needs you.
  2. Read the draft in the box marked AI draft. Why this draft says what the AI was going for.
  3. Change the text in the box if you want to.
  4. Press Approve and send.

The reply is queued and goes out with the account's next action, inside working hours. Until then it shows as Reply queued, with Cancel next to it. Cancelling puts the text in your reply box.

If the draft agrees a call, a tick box says that sending it books the call, with the time. Untick it to send the reply without booking.

Ask for a different draft

Type a few words in Steer, for example "shorter, offer Tuesday at 10", and press Draft again. The AI writes a new draft with your steer in mind. Discard removes the draft and leaves the conversation waiting for you.

When there is no draft, Ask the AI to draft a reply does the same from scratch.

Each draft the AI writes uses one AI reply from the account's monthly allowance. A reply you write yourself uses none.

Write your own reply

  1. Type in the box under Write your own reply.
  2. To use a saved reply, pick it from Insert a saved reply. Fields such as {first} are filled in for the person when it is sent.
  3. Tick Close the conversation once this is sent if this is the last word.
  4. Press Send.

Sending your own reply replaces the AI's draft or a queued reply. A reply can be up to 1,900 characters.

Saved replies are kept on the Limits and settings page, under Saved replies. An account keeps up to 20.

If a reply is not sent

A reply that could not be sent shows as Not sent, with the reason. Press Write it again to get its text back in your reply box, or Remove.

A queued reply is held while the account is paused or has stopped, and goes out when it runs again.

Close, reopen and mark

In the person's panel:

  • Close conversation closes it. A reply still waiting to go out is discarded.
  • Reopen brings a closed conversation back to Needs you.
  • Mark goal reached and Not reached set the goal yourself. Your mark overrules the AI's judgment.
  • Put back starts a workflow for the person again, from its first step.

Which channel a reply uses

A reply goes out the way the person last wrote to you: on LinkedIn, or by email in the same conversation.
