To connect a LinkedIn account, you sign in to LinkedIn once, in a sign-in window inside NurtureLead. After that the account runs in a browser on NurtureLead's servers. Nothing is installed on your computer.
What the sign-in window is
The window shows LinkedIn's own sign-in page, live, from that account's browser on our servers. Your clicks and typing are passed through to that page. What you type goes to LinkedIn, and NurtureLead does not store your password.
Connect an account
Only an owner or an admin can connect accounts.
- Open Accounts.
- Under Connect an account, type whose LinkedIn account it is and choose their time zone.
- Press Connect. The sign-in window opens and the account's browser starts, which takes a few seconds.
- When LinkedIn's page appears, click its email field and type the email and password of the LinkedIn account, the same way as on linkedin.com. Pasting works too.
- Sign in. If LinkedIn asks for a verification code, see When LinkedIn asks for a verification code.
- When the window says Connected, it closes by itself.
The window shows four steps along the top: Start, Sign in to LinkedIn, Verification code, and Connected. If the page is too small to read, press Zoom in.
If the window closes
The sign-in window closes by itself after ten minutes without use. Nothing is lost. Press Open it again to carry on where LinkedIn's page was.
If you close the window before signing in, the account stays on the Accounts page as Not connected. Press Connect on it when you are ready.
Things to know
- One LinkedIn account can be connected in one place only. If it is already connected to NurtureLead, the window says so.
- Your plan sets how many LinkedIn accounts you can connect: 1 on Starter, 3 on Pro, 5 on Team and 10 on Enterprise, where more can be added.
- Connect only accounts that are yours, or that you are allowed to run for someone else.
- LinkedIn may ask for a verification code when you sign in, and again later.
- LinkedIn's own terms restrict automation, and LinkedIn can limit or restrict an account that automates. How you use your account is your responsibility, as set out in the Terms.
Sign in again later
If LinkedIn signs the account out, its card on the Accounts page shows Signed out. Press Reconnect to open the sign-in window and sign in again. Nothing is sent from that account until then.
Disconnect an account
Disconnect on an account's card deletes that account's data in NurtureLead for good: its people, workflows, conversations, settings and its sign-in on our servers. It cannot be undone. Nothing is changed on LinkedIn itself.
