The Accounts page shows the state of every LinkedIn account. When an account is not running, its card says why and has the button that fixes it.
The states
| State | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Running | The account is working. | Nothing. |
| Outside working hours | It carries on when its working hours start. | Nothing. |
| Paused | You paused it, or have not started it yet. | Press Start. |
| Signed out | LinkedIn has signed the account out. | Press Reconnect and sign in again. |
| Waiting for a verification code | LinkedIn is asking for a code or a security check. | Press Enter the code. |
| Needs you | The account stopped itself. The reason is on the card. | Fix the reason, then press Resume. |
| Not connected | The account was added, but nobody has signed in yet. | Press Connect. |
Why an account stops itself
An account stops, and waits for you, when:
- LinkedIn asks for a verification code or a security check. See When LinkedIn asks for a verification code.
- LinkedIn has signed the account out.
- LinkedIn refuses a page. The reason on the card says to give the account a rest before you resume.
- Eight pages in a row did not look the way NurtureLead expects. That is a problem on our side, not with those profiles, and we are told about it.
NurtureLead does not try again past any of these. You get an alert in the app, by email and as a browser notification.
What does not stop an account
- LinkedIn's weekly invitation notice. Invites on that account wait until LinkedIn allows them again, and everything else carries on.
- One profile page that is not recognised. That person keeps their place and is tried again the next day. They show on the Active page under Needs a look, where Try those again now tries them straight away.
- A daily limit that is reached. Steps of that kind wait for the next day.
Resume an account
- Open Accounts and read the reason on the account's card.
- Deal with it: enter the code, sign in again, or wait.
- Press Resume.
After a sign-in through the sign-in window, an account that had stopped for a sign-out or a security check carries on by itself.
Everyone keeps their place in their workflow while an account is stopped. Replies that were waiting to go out are held and go out once it runs again.
If LinkedIn restricts the account
LinkedIn's own terms restrict automation, and LinkedIn can limit or restrict an account. A restriction is LinkedIn's decision, made on LinkedIn's side, and NurtureLead cannot lift it. Pause the account on the Accounts page while you sort it out with LinkedIn.
If your plan has ended
Accounts stop when a plan ends. Choose a plan on the Billing page to carry on. See What happens to your data after cancelling.
